By accessing or using Remnant Codex, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Remnant Codex. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.

If we discover that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account and delete their data.

4. Description of Service

Remnant Codex is an interactive fiction platform that generates personalized stories based on user choices. Stories are created using artificial intelligence technology and are unique to each user session.

The service includes:

• AI-powered story generation based on your prompts and choices
• Persistent story progress saved to your account
• Pre-generated library stories for browsing
• Arc credit system for accessing premium content

5. User Accounts

To access the full service, you must create an account using a valid email address or third-party authentication (Google).

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You must not share your account with others
• One account per person is permitted
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

6. Arc Credits and Payments

Arc credits are required to generate story arcs beyond free content.

• Non-refundable: Credits are non-refundable once used to begin an arc
• No expiration: Unused credits do not expire
• Price changes: Prices are subject to change with notice; existing credits remain valid
• Promotional credits: May have different terms as specified at time of issue

All payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your payment card details. Refund requests for unused credits may be considered on a case-by-case basis by contacting admin@fisher.tech.

7. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain rights to your input prompts and choices. Stories generated based on your inputs are created for your personal, non-commercial use.

Our property: The service, including but not limited to the underlying AI technology, world templates, generation systems, user interface, branding, and all related intellectual property, remains the exclusive property of Fisher Tech.

AI-generated content: Stories are generated by AI based on your inputs. You may use generated stories for personal purposes. Commercial use, publication, or distribution requires written permission from Fisher Tech.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to generate illegal, harmful, or abusive content
• Use the service to harass, defame, or harm others
• Share account credentials with others
• Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to access the service
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models
• Circumvent any access controls or usage limits
• Resell, sublicense, or commercially distribute generated content without permission
• Use the service for any illegal purpose

9. Content Guidelines

The service generates mature literary fiction that may include violence, moral complexity, and dark themes appropriate to the chosen genre.

The service will not generate:

• Content depicting minors in sexual or violent situations
• Content promoting real-world violence or terrorism
• Content that violates applicable laws
• Content designed to harass specific real individuals

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate accounts that attempt to generate prohibited content.

10. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

• The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or updates
• Technical issues may cause interruptions
• Story progress is saved automatically when possible
• We are not liable for any loss of data or progress due to service interruptions

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Warranties regarding the quality, accuracy, or reliability of generated content

AI-generated content may contain errors, inconsistencies, or unexpected results. You use the service at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• Fisher Tech is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service
• Our total liability for any claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not liable for any loss of data, profits, or business opportunities

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Fisher Tech, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the service
• Your violation of these terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights
• Content you submit to the service

14. Termination

By you: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, you will lose access to your stories and any unused credits.

By us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms, without prior notice. In cases of severe violations, we may terminate immediately without refund.

Upon termination, sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law will survive.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ukraine.

16. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at admin@fisher.tech to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve any issues within 30 days.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our service or legal requirements.

• Material changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on the service
• Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms
• If you do not agree to the updated terms, you must stop using the service

18. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

19. Entire Agreement

These Terms of Service, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Fisher Tech regarding the use of Remnant Codex, superseding any prior agreements.
